Rhona Morrison is a retired doctor (consultant forensic psychiatrist) from Cumbernauld, Scotland, who spent more than 30 years working in the NHS with mentally disordered offenders.
She was affectionately named "Dr M" by her clinical team, and it stuck. She returned to her passion for creating works of art when she retired in March 2018 at age 55.
She produces original artwork, limited and open edition giclée prints, cards, notelets and elaborately beaded and embroidered felt pictures. She is also happy to discuss individual new commission work. She works in watercolour and felt.
In addition to her passion for art, she is currently writing her memoir, working title "No I don't talk to dead bodies... the memoir of a forensic psychiatrist." This should prove to be an an interesting insight into the making of a forensic psychiatrist.
