These sterling silver cufflinks make a thoughtful gift for anyone with a love for Edinburgh and its history. The stones were once part of the cobblestones of the Royal Mile, the historic street that runs from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace. They are a perfect choice for an anniversary, milestone birthday, graduation or wedding gift.

The original Royal Mile cobblestones were carefully lifted during pavement improvements, and the surplus stones have been cut and polished to reveal their natural beauty. Formed from granite and basalt, they display subtle variations of black and grey, each one entirely unique. These small pieces of Edinburgh’s past are set in recycled sterling silver, with handmade cufflink chains and tiny silver ‘cobblestone’ details on the reverse. They are hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.

The backs of the cufflinks have a soft matt finish, contrasting with the darker oxidised silver around the stones to highlight their texture and depth.

Each cufflink measures approximately 25 × 14 mm and will arrive beautifully gift wrapped. As the stones are individually cut from historic cobblestones, no two stones are exactly the same dimensions.
