These emerald drop earrings have been handmade from recycled sterling silver and slices of natural emerald gemstone.

The emeralds hang from small sterling silver flowers, allowing them to move gently as they are worn. Each flower has been textured by hand and finished with a tiny silver granulation detail at its centre.

The flowers measure approximately 12 mm across, and the earrings have a total length of around 27 mm. The emerald slices are rose cut and freeform in shape, measuring approximately 10 mm, so each pair is slightly unique.

I love the deep green tones and natural swirls running through the emeralds and the way they softly catch the light when worn. On the reverse of each stone I’ve added a small silver swirl detail for an extra touch of interest.

Emerald is the birthstone for May, making these earrings a thoughtful birthday gift or a special piece for anyone who loves nature-inspired gemstone jewellery.
