Each knife is handcrafted in our Bathgate workshop from reclaimed whisky barrel staves — oak that’s spent decades maturing Scotland’s finest spirits before being given a second life in your kitchen.

The wood is tough, characterful, and built to last. With a little care (keep it oiled and well away from the dishwasher — seriously), these knives will serve you for years to come.

No two pieces are ever the same. The grain, markings, and whisky-darkened tones tell their own story, making every set completely unique. If you’d like, we can chat through the character of the wood before you order.

Shipping

When you order a product from the SDX online shop, the seller themselves will package and ship the product directly to you (we do not ship products from the SDX stores).

For international orders, the customer s responsible for any taxes or duties that are due to be paid upon receiving their order.

Returns Policy

If your item is faulty or you are unhappy with your purchase, a full refund will be issued upon return of the item, in perfect condition within the original packaging, within 28 days. Please contact us at online@sdx.scot to arrange your refund.
